We don't collect your data. At all.

What Chukka stores, and where

Chukka saves your clients, rates, projects, time sessions, notes and settings in a file on your own Mac, in your user Library folder (~/Library/Application Support/Chukka). It also keeps a daily backup there for 30 days. If you add a logo for PDF summaries, a copy is kept in the same folder.

This information never leaves your Mac unless you choose to move it, for example by exporting a CSV or PDF, or by using your own backup tools such as Time Machine or iCloud Drive.

What we collect

Nothing. Chukka doesn't connect to the internet. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking code, and there's no account to sign up for. We never see your time records, your clients or how you use the app.

Idle detection

To notice when you've stepped away, Chukka asks macOS how long it has been since your last keyboard or mouse activity. It only uses the length of that time, never what you typed or clicked, and it isn't stored or shared.

Buying Chukka

Chukka is sold through Apple's Mac App Store. Apple handles the purchase and payment under Apple's privacy policy. As the developer, we receive only anonymous sales totals from Apple, not your name, email or payment details.

This website

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. Like any website, the hosting service may briefly keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses, for security and reliability.

Contacting us

If you email us for support, we use your email address and message only to help you, and we don't share them with anyone.

Children

Chukka doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If Chukka ever needed to collect any data, we'd tell you clearly in the app first.
